TOPICS
Here are some sample topics, which can be customized to fit
the needs and interests of your group.
Are you midlife, mid-career and motivated to move?
For those who have invested fifteen to twenty years in a career
or home and now are ready for a new adventure.
Blasting out of your comfort zone
Whether you decide it's time to move, or the decision is made
for you, the toughest part of a change is leaving the comfort
zone behind. We'll talk about why it's so hard and how you can
keep yourself moving and motivated.
Toughest Career and Life Decisions
You know how to make business and financial decisions by the
numbers. For life decisions, you can't use numbers, so I've designed
a unique process that actually works.
The New Tools of Career Change: Intuition and Serendipity
Forget the old career counseling model: take a test, pick a field,
and write a resume. We'll talk about how people really change
careers and why the old rules don't work.
Are you ready to start a business?
If you're working for a corporation, have you been dreaming of
going out on your own? If you're out of work, you may find that
you'll make money faster by starting a business than by pounding
on closed doors.
High-profile career change
What happens when you lose your job -- and everybody in your
industry, city or even country knows about it? You can't just
show up with a resume. You need to be extra-creative. If appropriate,
I call this profile the Monica Lewinsky Syndrome.
Relocation and life change
Why is relocation so traumatic? And what is the single biggest
mistake you can make when you move?
This talk can be tailored for real estate and relocation professionals
who help others when they move.
