Personal Notes from Cathy Goodwin
"I was born in New York City. I still think of The
City as home, although I haven't lived there for years.
"I do not have a favorite color, song or movie.
"My favorite place to live is wherever I happen to be right now. In
2002 it was Silver City,
New Mexico. I lived there for 4 years and you'll see lots of
references to Silver City around my site.
"In August 2005 I moved to Seattle Washington."
"When I visited bookstores to promote my book, the
staff would say, "Oh, you're the moving lady!" and that's how I named
this website. My
new website uses my name and was built after I had gained some
experience with coaching, websites and the Internet
"Back in 1997, I was offered a job in Fort
Lauderdale, Florida, and made two major life transitions at once. I
bought a house. And two weeks after moving in, I went to the Humane
Society of Broward County "just to look" and walked out with Keesha,
listed as a keeshond-chow mix. She was my very first dog, after a
lifetime as a cat fanatic. She insisted on joining my official website photos.
In Fall 2005, just before Halloween, she departed
for the great dog
park in the sky - crossing the bridge, as they say. She was old: she
had cataracts, total hearing loss and arthritis. I miss her and
think about her every day.
But I couldn't live without a dog so I got
Gracie, who has a totally different look and personality style. See her
photos
here.
"I read voraciously -- murder mysteries, true crime,
and lots of nonfiction. I visit art museums whenever I travel and have
taken pottery and drawing classes. No talent but lots of enthusiasm.
Musical tastes range from George Jones to Mozart with not much in
between."
